PROTECT PENNSYLVANIA FROM BEING DESTROYED BY DATA CENTERS
Massive data centers are being proposed, if not already in development, across Pennsylvania. These facilities harm communities by straining local resources like water and energy, contributing to noise and air pollution, and creating economic imbalances.
Their enormous energy requirements and water consumption - per recent data from PJM - increase electricity costs for residents and deplete water supplies. Additionally, these facilities are loud and bright from the cooling fans and lights required to secure their premises. The constant light and noise pollution disrupts the sleep and affects the health of nearby residents, thus leading to negative impacts on quality of life and property values.
As part of Governor Shapiro's "Lightning Plan," HB502 would establish a new state-level board called the Reliable Energy Siting and Electric Transition (RESET) Board. This board would have the authority to fast-track the approval of large energy projects, including gas-fired power plants and energy storage facilities. This would render residents across Pennsylvania powerless in the fight against data centers. We need to act NOW!

BUT WE DID…AND WE ARE FIGHTING BACK!
THESE ARE OUR HOMES, OUR COMMUNITIES, AND OUR CHILDREN, AND WE WILL NOT LET THIS STATE BE LITTERED WITH DATA CENTERS THAT ONLY BENEFIT BILLIONAIRES!
It is IMPERATIVE to contact your representative, either via phone call or on their contact forms, to stress your opposition to this bill.
If you are not sure what to say, you can use the following template, be sure to include your name and address to prove residency when contacting PA Reps.…
"I am reaching out to stress my opposition to HB502. Local zoning decisions should remain under local zoning control. The concerted effort to remove local zoning control over energy infrastructure, including data centers, would directly impact our rights under Pennsylvania's Green Amendment. It is extremely disappointing to see my local representatives advocate for the silencing of local voices in our communities. We are the ones who will live next to these energy infrastructure projects. We will suffer the daily effects of their environmental pollution."

Public attendance ensures that the concerns and priorities of residents are heard by decision-makers - make sure your voice is heard! All are welcome to attend regardless of residence, especially because this data center would impact people far beyond just Plymouth Township and Conshohocken.
ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
According to Data Center Watch, Q2 2025 marked a turning point in data center development risk. In just three months, 20 projects were blocked or delayed amid local opposition, affecting $98 billion in potential investment—more than all disruptions tracked since 2023.
